Do NOT purchase this item unless you have the software and additional hardware required to PRE-CODE this remote key. The key tech will know if they have the hardware to pre-code the key. If the first digit of the VIN is a 3 and there are no keys, and alarm is set (going off) that means the BCM is "locked" and will need to be replaced before keys can be programmed. Even though this key looks like a Promaster key, they are different electronically. If you need a Promaster key, please see RAM Promaster.

Programming Instructions
Follow these steps to program this key to the vehicle.
<em><strong>Must have current Fiat 500L software for T-Code / SmartPro or Autel 608, as well as the programming aerial. If not you must go to dealership for the key.</strong></em>
<strong>IMPORTANT PROGRAMMING NOTE:</strong> When programming this class of FIAT vehicles. ALL available keys need to be programmed ANY TIME you program NEW keys.
ANY old keys NOT re-added when NEW keys are programmed <span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>CANNOT BE ADDED LATER!</strong></span>
The vehicle maintains a list of old key values and blocks them from being added later.
Also remember PINs acquired through a tool must use that tool to program. PINs aquired through NASTF will only work through the MicroPod / WiTech.
Build Instructions
Internal manufacturing and assembly notes.
Can use KG - K91910. Have not verified compatibility. KG has the black plastic button like Promaster style FOB.
Used boards Require PCF7946 be replaced.
Fiat 500L and ProMaster uses Magneti Marelli boards
The boards are interchangeable in the cases, but operate differently than the buttons indicate if used on the wrong car.
Re-shell and ready. NOTE: the aluminum Logo button covers are hard to come by. try using Promaster style cases without a logo.
replacement blades that fit are difficult to come by.
OE shells can use KGO blades (from their shell K81458) and secure with .310 x .083 SS roll pin
I found the .310 x .083 SS roll pins to be too large and used 0.066 stainless.
YourCarKeyGuys key is able to switch between Delphi and Marelli boards. Read page 2; P2 should start EA01 for Marelli and EA02 for Delphi.
