19 Feb 2020: According to Jon Stewart (LSRs Locksmith tech) any of the FCCs ending in ...840 should be able to program into another car with the same FCC and IC. We purchased 12 qty NISS043s from LSR and we are sending them out with the "new key from a new vendor" note wrapped around them.
Also according to Fresh Car Keys the transponder does not need to be unlocked to be able to program into another vehicle.
